The Cabin Weekend

This weekend 4 of my friends and I went up to my family's cabin. The cabin is 3 hours away and a lot of the way is back roads. The ride took forever, but once we all got there it was a lot of fun. My parents said we could go back there whenever we wanted to. The next time I go up there we will all go to the Soaring Eagle Casino which is only 30 minutes away.

Writing the fairy tale

This fairy tale took me forever to write. I sat at my desk for over an hour having no idea what to write about. I was on the verge of just saying "screw it" and not writing it. I decided that probably wouldn't be good for my grade in the class though so i decided to just let my imagination go. I was listing to the rappers Chilidish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar while thinking of what to write. I used their names in the paper and just decided to write about how they became good at singing. This certainly was not the best piece I ever wrote, but it was fun to write.

Mancinos

My roommate and I are not alike in many ways. We still get along fine and we're friends, but we just come from different lifestyles. One thing that we had in common though was that both of our home towns have a Mancinos restaurant in them. We planned to go to one as soon as my roommate got his first paycheck. This restaurant has big sandwiches/subs called grinders, which we are both getting. He is getting his paycheck tonight so that's where we are going.

Thesis Statement

One of my favorite movies of all time is the movie Limitless. This movie is about an unsuccessful writer who takes a pill. On this pill he gets really smart and finishes his book. He also gets to be really high up in the stock market. The whole movie though he is in danger. My thesis statement is going to be, "The materialistic view of American society makes people want to be the best they can be at all cost, which is why Eddie takes the pill to get to the top, even though he gets hurt in the process."

Sndays blog about english class

Doing this group project kind of bums me out. I thought I got away from group projects once I graduated high school. Group projects are not my favorite things in the world to do.  I like doing things on my own most of the time

What I am really looking forward to though is the project where we write about a movie of our choice. Movie titles have been running through my head all weekend. I think I'm going to do the movie Jaws or a scary movie like Halloween or Friday the 13th. This project should be a lot of fun.

Getting sick

The past week I was in the ER twice. Once on Monday, once on Thursday. The first time I went there the doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. I had a bad rash on my lower body, Weird bumps on my arms and my muscles hurt everywhere. I could barely walk or move my arms. On Monday the doctors just told me to go home and the symptoms should clear up. Friday my symptoms were a lot worse so i went back to the ER. An older doctor diagnosed me with an autoimmune sickness called HSP. This sickness is really rare in little kids under 5 and the doctor said he has never heard of a case in an older person. Now I am taking steriods so hopefully I will feel better soon.
