Sunday with chemistry...

This weekend I planned to have a good time with my friends on Friday and Saturday nights and study during the day. Well that did not happen because I started to get sick on Friday and that lead into Saturday. So now Sunday comes along and I'm stuck teaching myself a new chapter of chemistry. I started at 6 and just got done taking notes now. Now an hour or two of chem homework then the quiz after. A long weekend of being sick didn't let me do much. Complaining about chemistry was the only thing on my mind to write about.

Writing these papers...

The last paper I wrote for English class was a horror story. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it at first. After I started writing it though it became fun for me. I liked being able to pick what happened to the characters in the stories instead of just reading what someone else thought up. The next paper we write is a narrative and I would usually think that I would hate writing this piece. After having fun writing the horror story, I am actually looking forward to writing this.

Thanksgiving

My best friend Zach has been in Georgia since July because he is in the Army. For thanksgiving break he is coming home, but its a surprise! His girlfriend, my other friend Tyler and I are the only ones who know. I told my parents this and asked if I could throw a party at my house for Zach. They said that they weren't going to be home for break. I thought that meant no, but then my dad just said, "Have fun, just don't break anything." This Thanksgiving break is going to be the best I've ever had.

The Cabin Weekend

This weekend 4 of my friends and I went up to my family's cabin. The cabin is 3 hours away and a lot of the way is back roads. The ride took forever, but once we all got there it was a lot of fun. My parents said we could go back there whenever we wanted to. The next time I go up there we will all go to the Soaring Eagle Casino which is only 30 minutes away.

Writing the fairy tale

This fairy tale took me forever to write. I sat at my desk for over an hour having no idea what to write about. I was on the verge of just saying "screw it" and not writing it. I decided that probably wouldn't be good for my grade in the class though so i decided to just let my imagination go. I was listing to the rappers Chilidish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar while thinking of what to write. I used their names in the paper and just decided to write about how they became good at singing. This certainly was not the best piece I ever wrote, but it was fun to write.

Mancinos

My roommate and I are not alike in many ways. We still get along fine and we're friends, but we just come from different lifestyles. One thing that we had in common though was that both of our home towns have a Mancinos restaurant in them. We planned to go to one as soon as my roommate got his first paycheck. This restaurant has big sandwiches/subs called grinders, which we are both getting. He is getting his paycheck tonight so that's where we are going.

Thesis Statement

One of my favorite movies of all time is the movie Limitless. This movie is about an unsuccessful writer who takes a pill. On this pill he gets really smart and finishes his book. He also gets to be really high up in the stock market. The whole movie though he is in danger. My thesis statement is going to be, "The materialistic view of American society makes people want to be the best they can be at all cost, which is why Eddie takes the pill to get to the top, even though he gets hurt in the process."

Sndays blog about english class

Doing this group project kind of bums me out. I thought I got away from group projects once I graduated high school. Group projects are not my favorite things in the world to do.  I like doing things on my own most of the time

What I am really looking forward to though is the project where we write about a movie of our choice. Movie titles have been running through my head all weekend. I think I'm going to do the movie Jaws or a scary movie like Halloween or Friday the 13th. This project should be a lot of fun.

Getting sick

The past week I was in the ER twice. Once on Monday, once on Thursday. The first time I went there the doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. I had a bad rash on my lower body, Weird bumps on my arms and my muscles hurt everywhere. I could barely walk or move my arms. On Monday the doctors just told me to go home and the symptoms should clear up. Friday my symptoms were a lot worse so i went back to the ER. An older doctor diagnosed me with an autoimmune sickness called HSP. This sickness is really rare in little kids under 5 and the doctor said he has never heard of a case in an older person. Now I am taking steriods so hopefully I will feel better soon.

Post About English Class (This Paper)

Before I started writing this paper I thought I liked to write and I thought it came easy to me. Not anymore. This paper is insanely hard for me to write. The topic of "Why I read what I read and why I write how I write" is very difficult for me to write about. There is no specific memory that molded how I read and write. Ive spent 1 hour trying to write this paper on real events and I got to one page and had to erase it all because I had nothing else to write about.Now I am trying to use made up events on top of my real events. This paper is still difficult to write. I like to write papers on research, not on my life.

iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 came out this Friday. I ended up getting it that night. I love having this new phone. Ive never had an iPhone before. I have always had an android phone. The iPhone 5 is so great to have. It is not much different from the iPhone 4. The iPhone 5 is just bigger, faster, and has a better camera. The battery life is much longer too, which I love because I always use my phone. My friend who is in a business class told me that in his class they were talking about it. The Phone is supposed to raise Americas economy by almost a tenth of a percent, which is crazy because it is just one item.

English Post 1

I have been really enjoying this English class. I like how we have a lot of class discussion and activities. Being in groups like that makes English actually kind of fun. I'm not going to lie, I absolutely hated English class in High School. This class seems to be different besides the fact that we are reading the Henrietta Lacks book. That book is so boring to me. The Jay-Z book on the other hand was a fantastic book. That book was honestly the best piece of literature I have ever read in school. I hope this class keeps going how it has been and maybe my views about English class will change. If we start doing poetry though that's where my optimistic thoughts stop. Poetry is terrible.

Loving College (Sunday Night Blogs)

Being in college is so amazing. I love being away from home and getting to be independent. What I love most about being alone is knowing I can still pass all of my classes. I dont like studying a lot only because I never have before. Studying has made me learn so much more about the subjects that I am taking and I actually enjoy that.
Being alone also has one more benefit...late nights. Going out late on any given day is an amazing thing. I enjoy being able to just stay up till 3 in the morning on a Sunday night not having to worry about my parents yelling at me to go to sleep. Most late nights are on the weekends though. Weekends are when late nights are the best. All of the friends I have met up here can go out with me and have a good time without having to worry about getting in trouble by our parents.
Another great thing about this college life is being able to eat whenever I want. Getting up at noon this morning and eating shrimp for breakfast has been the best thing thats happened to me since ive been here...well besides Thursday through Saturday nights.
